Associated Builders and Contractors is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 23,000 members.

Based on the merit shop philosophy, we help our members develop people, win work and deliver work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which they work.

The Excellence in Construction® Awards celebration honors the nation's most innovative and high-quality construction projects and world-class safety, inclusion, diversity and merit programs.

Contractor Member

Companies that self-perform &/or manage tasks on a construction jobsite. This includes prime and sub (specialty) contractors, trade partners and construction managers. Annual membership dues are based on company’s construction volume from the previous year.

Supplier Member

Businesses that furnish supplies, products, and materials for commercial construction. As equal members of the association, suppliers have an outstanding opportunity to take an active role with their contractor customers -- in education, political action, and business development. Supplier dues are set by the Board of Directors, typically at a flat rate for the full year.

Associate Member

Professional service firms, such as attorneys, accountants, bonding and insurance agencies, and construction owners. As equal members in the association, membership in ABC is an excellent opportunity to expand business contacts while supporting merit shop construction.

National, State & Local/Chapter Dues

When a company first joins ABC through a local Chapter, that Chapter collects national dues, state dues (if applicable) and always local (Chapter) dues. A company only pays national dues once, notwithstanding its geographic location or the number of chapters it joins. Likewise, in Florida, a member company will only be required to pay ABC FL state dues once each year, even if that company chooses to join all five ABC Chapters in Florida. A company that wishes to participate in a Chapter’s local geographic region, is strongly encouraged to join that local chapter.
